Antique mahogany O'BRIEN'S Self-Closing Till - Cash Register - c1900. Thick dovetailing and rounded corners, Working bell on opening till - PING!! Till bears a mounted bone plaque on one end marked O'BRIEN'S PATENT SELF-CLOSING TILL, 30, SLATER ST.

A thick brass framed port through which the paper receipt would feed, till roll does not move on when drawer is opened. Front bears an ornate cast iron pull handle and original lock with brass escutcheon. Marked O'Brien Liverpool-Secure Lever-33 - No key. Heavy ribbed brass guard mounted into rear compartment for notes, 3 compartments for coins.
